I made my first half a mil online without going to a single seminar.

The first seminar I flew in was the Manchester JVZoo summit and I didn't even promote JVzoo products.

I went just to see what the noise is all about.

Thing is, ever since starting out online back in 2008-ish, I noticed people who went to seminars were becoming successful faster than those who didn't.

But I never went to any seminars because I couldn't afford to go.

So I just had to find out why it's such a big deal.

Since my trip to Manchester I've been to 8 other events across several continents.

And I summed up my thoughts on how to make the most out of seminars (and whether or not you should even go!) in this episode of the List Building Lifestyle.

"Igor, what's the average conversion rate with your traffic for <<fill in biz opp here>>?"

This is by far the most annoying question we get at Igor Solo Ads.

Not because I can't identify the average.

But because it's a really bad question which leads to more bad questions which leads to failure.

Last week I got on a call with a new friend.

She's a woman in her thirties and she's involved with several MLMs.

She asked if I could help with traffic for one of the programs she mentioned.

And I said - probably not and gave her a bunch of reasons why those specific MLMs weren't a good fit.

Next thing I know...

She launches into a 15 minute presentations to show me why these products are amazing and why I should a) join her in business and b) find a traffic source that works.

You can guess what happened next.

I lost all interest.

Today I'd like to share with you the mistakes she made which made it virtually impossible to "close" me.

Follow these guidelines to make your product and yourself interesting to other people.

Violate my guidelines and forever be ignored by your best prospects.

My wife and I are in New York.

We're racing through time square.

We're heading to the "Stardust Diner" which is famous for it's broadway-level performing waitresses.

Suddenly I see a large black dude who's selling tour bus tickets point at me and yell:

"Hey, white dude! Are you allergic to black people?"

I didn't honor his question with answer... out loud.

But I answered it in my mind.

And it reminded me of a foolproof marketing tactic I always use in my emails I just had to share with you!

You finally decided to go all in.

You join a business opportunity.

You buy an Aweber account.

You run a Facebook ad.

You show up for the weekly training call.

You're being a good sport.

And the results just don't seem to show up for you.

Why's that?

Your business is a bucket. And when you decide to start a business, you throw all the tools, opportunities and information into the bucket. You expect alchemy to occur inside the bucket. All these ingredients, mixed together are supposed to turn into gold.

I used to run the largest coaching program in the Solo Ad space.

But I got tired of babysitting people.

And now I only privately work with my Solo VIP Club members.

The VIP club is where work with beginners.

I help them become top earners.

And one of the biggest challenges for a beginner top earner is not having proof.

Which means they can't make claims to attract prospects.

But little do they know - they don't need proof.

They don't need to make claims.

In fact, making claims achieves the complete opposite - it makes you invisible to the prospects who are allergic to claims.

Meet Bob.

Bob joins a business opportunity.

Bob tries to make money and fails.

Bob decides its not him for and goes back to a boring job.

Six months later Bob realizes he hates his life and tries again.

This time with a different business opportunity.

And the cycle repeats itself for the next 5 years.

Throughout the process, having tried and failed so many times, Bob questions everything:

- The traffic
- The mentor and so on

Today I'm going to mock Bob. HARD!

Because Bob is the classic biz opp junkie who refuses buys into their own bullshit.

And if Bob's smart - Bob's going to listen and apply what I show today.

If not, Bob's going to struggle for another decade I guarantee it!

I was never good at closing.

You can say, I was the polar opposite of a great closer.

Sometimes I'd throw the sale BEFORE stepping into the close, because I was afraid of rejection.

But it all changed when I adopted a different habit.

Suddenly, while still being a bad closer, I had more sales coming in than I knew what to do with.
